The Ultimate Costume Shop

Before Burning Man Decompression there was the Opera Warehouse Sale on Indiana

Home to the SF Opera's Costume and Scenery Warehouses, 700 Indiana held treasures for which folks lined up around the block--but no one minded.

The Opera thoughtfully provided entertainment for the waiting masses: costume-clad sopranos wandered the street on the arm of a handsome tenor, both serenading the shoppers while enticing them with a rotating display of exotic dress awaiting patrons inside. It was always a big hit--until the company found cheaper rent in Burlingame.
