The Blue Greenway is the City of San Francisco's project to improve the City's southerly portion of the 500 mile, 9-county, region-wide Bay Trail, as well as the newly established Bay Area Water Trail and associated waterfront open space system.
In collaboration with various organizations and City agencies, San Francisco Parks Alliance is revamping efforts around the Blue Greenway.
As stakeholders in the neighborhood, DNA members are invited to participate in a series of in-person community meetings next week (see meeting details below).
At the meetings, participants will meet their neighbors and help Thomas Namara map out the important pathways and public space destinations in the neighborhood.
The ultimate vision is threefold:
To install wayfinding signage at each site,
Establish green corridors in the neighborhood, and
Make it easier for Blue Greenway visitors to see and support smaller green spaces sites in Dogpatch and Potrero Hill.
See examples from other cities here.
If you're interested, please RSVP here. Please let Thomas Namara (thomasn@sfparksalliance.org) of SFPA know if you have any questions.
