Date: July 13
The subject of DNA's July 13 meeting will be cleaning up our city. We will have a brief presentation by Recology and then a longer joint presentation by TogetherSF and RefuseRefuseSF.
Recology will briefly discuss a variety of subjects including steps taken to keep San Francisco’s recycling moving during the pandemic; China’s ban on importing trash and the new demand from paper mills and other manufactures; the important environmental benefits achieved through S.F.’s pioneering curbside composting collection (green bin) program; how to properly dispose of household batteries and light bulbs; and the latest on plastic bags.
TogetherSF and RefuseRefuseSF will present their program “How to Keep San Francisco Clean” which shows the importance of grass-roots and local-group efforts to clean up our neighborhoods and keep them clean.
Both presentations will challenge us to confront ongoing problems and take action in Dogpatch and beyond.
