Local Support for Seniors and Other-abled Folks

Greetings from the Community Living Campaign. Here are updates on the Potrero Hill Community Connector Network's Cathy DeLuca cell:  415-638-9183:

1) Attached please find CLC's October calendar of FREE virtual activities for older adults and people with disabilities that people can access via phone or online. You can also find the activities at www.sfcommunityliving.org/events. Please spread the word and let us know if you could use printed copies!

2) Transportation Support. Do you know a Dogpatch or Potrero Hill senior who could use $60 in taxi rides (for free!)? Or maybe a senior or adult with a disability who could use a $50 Lyft voucher? If so, they can contact John Eng at jeng@sfcommunityliving.org or 415-821-1003, ext. 125. 3) Outreach. In an effort to reach Potrero seniors in this time of social distancing, our Outreach Coordinator Marlene Harris has made calls to the homes of more than 100 Potrero seniors to date, and she is slowly starting to build connections. Marlene also started volunteering at the food pantry at the Neighborhood House. Along with meeting residents, she is also able to make sure our program information goes home with the food.

The Community Connector program builds networks of neighbors and friends who can be there for each other – plus have fun and get more active together.
