About these meetings:

We typically meet on the second Tuesday of odd-number months. We address community concerns as well as pressing civic issues affecting all of San Francisco.

DNA works to develop our community's civic capital with the energy of our growing neighborhood to further achieve our cause: fostering friendly association among Dogpatch neighbors while preserving the unique character of Dogpatch.

Membership matters.

Without members, the DNA could not do the work it does, nor support our community as it has done since its founding in 1998. Here are just a few of DNA’s accomplishments:

  • Worked to create the Dogpatch Historic District

  • Organized advocacy to close the polluting Potrero Power Plant

  • Represented community interests in negotiations with proliferating Cannabis Lounge businesses

  • Materially supports grassroots neighborhood efforts like the Dogpatch Hub, Tunnel Top Park, Friends of Potrero & PK3 Preschools, Woods Yard Playground, and more

  • Saved Esprit Park from development together with the original FoEP

Member’s power is also in their vote--like any civic organization voting brings legitimacy to DNA’s actions. Our efforts focus on the following:

  • Encouraging historic preservation and the adaptive reuse of existing structures

  • Maintaining and Enhancing the quality of life in the neighborhood through advocacy with City agencies and District 10 leadership

  • Building consensus among members’ when facing neighborhood change, opportunities, and problems

  • Negotiating with Developers to ensure sustainable development of our neighborhood and our city

  • Enhancing and expanding our open and green spaces, working together with the Green Benefits District

You can join our mailing list to receive periodic announcements and meeting agendas. We promise to never abuse your inbox nor sell your information.

We urge you to join us -- just visit dogpatchna.org/join online. We would be delighted to welcome you as a voting member. Just imagine what we can achieve together!

Thank you again for your interest in the Dogpatch Neighborhood Association.
